Telemedicine Benefits

The Telemedicine benefits are all up and running for the UNY POS plans.  Files are attached for each plan.  Each plan has their own standard approach and NG is not customizing, standardizing  any telemedicine plan design or delivery.

A reminder that NG has waive member cost share for all Telemedicine services (this includes Telehealth through a contracted vendor as well as virtual Tele-visits where your PCP has established the ability to see you over the phone or through a web-based application).  Not all plans have the ability for providers to schedule virtual visits but we are seeing this become more and more common.  These services are not mandatory but are in place at no cost to the member through the end of the year in response to the COVID-19 epidemic and the need to offer members an alternative to in-person visits where available.  This includes Telemedicine services that are COVID and Non-COVID related and where offered, it includes Behavioral Health and Dermatology.

The UNY POS plans in Upstate are making this material available to members who have provided a personal email address.   

Also, most Telemedicine services require that a member pre-register to establish a profile or account with the organization.
