Western Division Report: Juneteenth

Thursday, June 17, 2021
Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is an American holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, which was two and one-half years after the Emancipation Proclamation dated 01/01/1863. This was more generally known as the emancipation of enslaved African Americans throughout the former Confederate States of America, outside Native American lands. Texas was also the first state to make Juneteenth an official state holiday. This holiday, please think of ways we can unify the great people of our great nation.

We have had some incidents that could have had more serious consequences. Take your time, make sure you understand the task at hand, and do not take any shortcuts. Learn your trade. It takes effort to become skilled at your job.
