From Senior Vice President Pete Orphanos on 6/29 - Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station:
It is with great PRIDE that we announce that Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station received an “Exemplary” rating from WANO during a meeting with senior leaders. The entire Exelon fleet is now rated “Exemplary.” This is the highest possible grade achievable from this regulator.
After being rated Strong in 2019, the decisive move to an Exemplary rating represents the entire station’s commitment to PRIDE in the Point.
The WANO team identified five strengths and two Areas for Improvement (AFIs) for Nine Mile Point.
We want to thank our first responders for doing a great job due to the number of storms we have had recently.
We have had two pre-arbitration settlements where two members have been brought back to work who we feel were wrongfully terminated.
