Obituary for Stanley J. Marek Sr
Born August 9, 1923 in Buffalo, NY; died April 1, 2021 in Elma, NY. Beloved husband of the late Jeanette Dorothy (nee Siudak) who he married on July 26, 1952 at Corpus Christi Church, Buffalo,
NY; loving father of Stanley Jr., Michael,Rosanne (Lisa), Kevin (Lisa), Celeste and Kenneth Marek; cherished grandfather of eight and great grandfather of four; devoted brother of Joseph Stanley Marek; predeceased by two sisters and one brother; also
survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Stanley was a proud retiree of Niagara Mohawk, a WWII Navy Veteran aboard the USS Weaver and a past member of the Elma Volunteer Fire Company. Funeral services commencing Wednesday at 8:15AM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (2 blocks south of William St.), and at 9AM in St. Gabriel’s Church, Elma.
Interment in St Stanislaus Cemetery. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Pursuant to NYS guidelines, face coverings and social distancing is
required at the funeral home and church. Occupancy restrictions may delay entry.
