I would like to thank the staff for covering while we were in negotiations. We were able to wrap up the contract extension with NRG and moved onto negotiations with Liberty Utilities who purchased St. Lawrence Gas in Massena, New York. Both have come hard after pensions and retiree medical.
Safety – NGrid: We are seeing some changes in attitude on the Company’s part. There has been lowering of some disciplines. You have Safety Advocates out there for you. If you need any help with issues, please reach out to them.
We had a call with the Company on 12/11/19 on the Lone Worker Device for CMS. They are looking to pilot some in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you to all who voted on the NGrid contract extension. The first item as part of the extension we will be working on is the pension issues. We have also agreed to Article XXIII’s for various groups which we will start during the first quarter of next year.
With new technology and a changing utility, a lot of things going on politically. We will be looking at transitioning over to solar and wind and hope to be sitting on a Climate Council to see the impact on our business.
