Western Division Report: Drive Safely

Monday, December 4, 2017
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. It's a great time to spend with your family and reflect on the how lucky you are. You don't have to watch the world news to see people struggling with life; you can look in your own backyard in your community. I want to thank everyone who finds a way to give back to their neighbors in their community. Whether you give financially or give your time, thank you.

Local 97 is sending from the Western Division the following members to Puerto Rico to help in the relief effort:

Casey Ward, William Shaffer, Nathanael Blueye, Joseph Vaughn, Joshua Karst, Craig Knobel, Matthew Wronski, Corinthuis Lee, Thomas Bitterman and Chad Cornacchia.

Thank you for your dedication and stay safe!

Safety:

Safe driving, please remember to avoid distracted driving. This includes your cell phone, eating, drinking, smoking or anything else that can distract you. If you feel the need to use the phone, eat, drink, smoke or anything else find a safe place to pull over. There is no reason to violate any traffic laws including stop signs, speed limits and any other laws. The company has given harsh disciplines for traffic violations especially in the Service department. Please wear your seatbelt and put your cell phone out of reach. Every shortcut has a price usually greater than the reward! -Jim Murty, IBEW Local 97,Assistant Business Manager West
