National Grid has notified Local 97 that continued payroll system issues have further delayed GWIs and Article XXIII raises. The retroactive pay adjustments from 4/30 to 5/27 will be taxed differently than normal wages which will help minimize members’ tax burden.
▪ The GWI effective 04/30/23 will be reflected in employee’s paychecks starting June 8, 2023.

▪ Retroactive payments associated with the GWI from 04/30/23 through 05/27/23 will be reflected in employee’s paychecks starting June 8, 2023.

▪ The Article 23 pay rate changes effective 04/30/23 will be reflected in employee’s paychecks starting June 8, 2023.
(for payroll period 05/28/23 through 06/03/23)
▪ Retroactive payments associated with the Article 23 pay rate changes from 04/30/23 through 05/27/23 will be reflected in employee’s paychecks starting June 8, 2023.
(for payroll periods 04/30/23 through 05/27/23)
▪ The supplemental payment for those eligible will be made the week of May 15, 2023.
▪ The new shift premium is in place effective 04/30/23.
▪ The new meal allowances are in place effective 04/30/23.
