I want to start by Wishing Everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
We have finally come to an agreement on a new Electric Safety Advocate for the East. I would like to be the first to welcome Jim Kietzman, a Traveling Operator from Glens Falls Stations. While the timing has not been finalized yet, I am hoping he assumes this role shortly after the first of the year.
I want to thank all those who generously contributed to the family of Adam LaNoir. The final donation was just over $20,000, with a National Grid match, the total is just over $41,000 to his family. While the circumstances are horrible, it is nice to see the Union membership and Company work together to support Adam's family.
On the Grid front, we are looking at an April and May timeframe for, as of now, 16-18 Helper positions in 2 different classes to offset the number of retirements this year. As we get more detailed information we will pass it on. -IBEW Local 97 Eastern Division, ABM Chuck Milos
