In an ongoing effort to get information to the membership, we recently held a chief stewards meeting at the hall to update the group on what’s been happening recently and answer any questions. This is an ongoing attempt to begin face-to-face meetings as we move closer to getting back to normal.
As everyone knows the restrictions are loosening up with regard to masks and occupancy rates etc. but just as a reminder, continue to practice caution and good health habits while you get out to enjoy the beautiful weather.
We held 3rd step grievances on May 5th. Please refer to the E board report if you have a grievance that was heard.
We’re working toward the completion of the URD/UCD MOA that I’ve been reporting on for the last couple months.

With Spring in full bloom and the weather improving each day we look forward to cookouts and gatherings. We have been through a great deal of change and the light looks bright at the end of the tunnel. All I ask is we do it safely. Every day we need to wake up and take a hard look at what it will take to come home safe that day. Be cautious with the kids playing in the parks and sometimes the streets especially with people on motorcycles or bicycles. We have no room for distractions.
This time of year is especially known for ticks to be out in force. Please take the precautions needed to keep them at bay.
We have presented the Line Article XXIII from the committee for review before it goes to the company. We are finishing up the URD/UCD MOA and working on one for the TLS group. We are continuing to hear grievances and preparing for arbitrations. We hope we will soon be back to regular meetings when the restrictions lift.
