Arbitrations are scheduled for May and June. An arbitration was held a few months ago and the verdict came back in favor of the Union. NYS vaccination eligibility is changing frequently. Check NYS am I eligible and county websites to obtain and make an appointment.
FY 22 Project Review meetings are being held for Distribution Line, Underground, Stations/PTO, Gas, Transmission Line, Substation Engineering/Design, Transmission Line Engineering/Design NY, Real Estate Assets/Survey NY, Gas Operations Support, Facilities Tech Support, Underground Engineering & Operations, Overhead Engineering & Operations, Distribution Standards NY, Engineering Records Management (Property Records) and Distribution Planning NY.
We had an OH Line SAC virtually on March 18, 2021.
97C has a 3-year extension from March 28, 2021, through March 23, 2024.
We recently negotiated an MOA for an underground cable splicer trainer to help with the training in the Central Division.

NMP Unit 1 will be performing the 21st refuel outage in its long history of operation starting on Monday, March 22nd . The duration of the outage is set for 17 days at an O&M cost of 35.1 million dollars. Over 1,000 temporary workers were brought in to support the outage effort. IBEW Local 97 employs roughly 150 supplemental employees for the outage in addition to our 525 regular members. The supplemental work force we provide performs everything from protective relay testing (our retirees) to janitorial work and Covid cleaning.
