As we look back on the past year we have a lot to reflect on, from getting a first contract with the newly organized Brookfield property, to successfully negotiating contracts with the National Grid 97c, and PSEG. We continue to work with Exelon and Entergy as they move closer to a signed purchase agreement that will keep three hundred plus of our members working. We are still at the table with the Service Employee's group and the Town of Worcester, working on getting a contract.
We are in an ever changing industry, from Clean Energy Standards to Net Metering, Distributed Generation and the possibility of re-powering our Dunkirk station. Change is never easy. However we can either make the changes necessary to secure our spot in the future or we can get left behind.
As we prepare to face many more challenges I am reminded of what Dr. Martin Luther King once said: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Brothers and Sisters, if we stand together we can face those challenges and controversy as one united front!
I would like to thank the staff, stewards and all of you for the continued support.
