I hope that this email finds everyone doing well and enjoying their summer. Here at the Local, we are having a very busy summer getting ready for contract negotiations with National Grid Gold Book 97C, fighting to keep the Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant open and organizing community service projects to get our young members active in the union.
If the past few years has taught us anything, it is that having a political voice in both Albany and Washington DC is very important. That is why I want to encourage every member to contribute to our COPE Fund. Cards can be picked up at the union office. I would also encourage all members to make sure that you are registered to vote. If you are not registered to vote, you can register online here. Please make sure to continue to work safely, especially in the summer heat. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks and look out for each other.
