Not much to report because of the upcoming elections; companies are holding off waiting for the results.

All ballots are out and due in by the 18th.  If you have not received a ballot, call the hall and we will have a duplicate ballot sent out.

The NGrid Bonus has been paid out at 3.98%.

The Company will not be responding to our Cash Balance proposals for at least a few more weeks. They have requested more time to do a cost analysis.

From Eastern Division it was reported that the woman who assaulted our Collector last September was sentenced Friday to 3 years in state prison followed by 3 years on parole. This was prosecuted under the Utility Workers Assault Law.

The International has an article posted on Facebook along with page 3 of the magazine praising Local 97 members’ ‘Flawless’ replacement of diesel back-up at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station. Article can be found on our web site. Congratulations for our members for their outstanding accomplishment.

Would like to recognize Vice President, Marty Currier. He is retiring at the end of this month. He has served for 33 years as a Steward, E-Board Representative, Chief Steward, Business Representative and Vice President. He has always put our members at the forefront and worked in their best interest. We want to wish the best of luck in retirement.
