Western Division Line School is under development at this time: The Union and the Company will be looking for a volunteer to assist with training. We will be looking for a Chief Line Mechanic Hot-Stick who has a minimum of 5 years at Chief. There is a MOA available if interested; ask your Union Steward to get a copy for the barn.
Ethics:Please be aware that you can call the Union Hall for help with member on member issues. If you go to the company first you can't un ring that bell and the company is forced to investigate it. The problem with going to the company is a lot of times there is discipline given to our brothers and sisters up to termination. Please give us the first opportunity to resolve member on member issues.
Motorcycle Safety: Similar to being at work and wearing all of your PPE, when riding a motorcycle it's no different. You can be the safest rider out there but you can't control other drivers or wildlife. It makes me cringe when I see someone going down the road in flip flops, shorts or tank tops on. The road is unforgiving and will kick your butt, trust me I know. Ride safe and wear your PPE. -Jim Murty, ABM, Western Division
