I want to thank the Power Delivery Group West for inviting Phil Wilcox and I to their 2016 golf tournament on August 5th. It was held at Rothland's golf course with 40 golfers. This group was made up of Union brothers and sisters, supervisors and retirees. It was a beautiful day but it was a hot 90 degrees. My foursome was able to stay hydrated throughout the day thanks to the beverages in my cooler.
Congratulations to the 2016 winners pictured from Left to right.
Brothers, John Daly, Ken Dalka, Ed Druzbik and Phil Wilcox with a 7 under par.
Just a note about our Union Leadership and working for the good of our membership.
I want to congratulate President Business Manager Ted Skerpon on his leadership and for the work he has done on the recent PSC announcement for the Clean Energy Standard. That created zero-emission credits for the New York Nuclear plants. That was a huge win for our members at the Nuclear Plants. Anyone that knows Ted is fully aware he has never been a big fan of politics but he has found that there is a critical need for our Union to be involved in politics. The other person Ted put in a leadership role in our union is Business Rep. Phil Wilcox. He is the one on the ground doing most of the political dirty work for the local. Phil I want to thank you for all the work you do that no one knows about and all the time you put into your job for the good of the Union. When you see Ted and Phil thank them. Great Win !!!!!
Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. -James Murty
