The New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) plays a vital role in overseeing public utilities and has worked closely with the Utility Labor Council to ensure that nuclear power jobs are preserved in Upstate New York. That is why I am proud to announce that Local 97's own Western Division Business Representative, Phil Wilcox, has been appointed to serve on this commission. Below you will find an interview with Phil, discussing the importance of having a voice of the workers on the commission and some of the work that he is looking forward to doing. While Local 97 will miss Phil, we are excited that the PSC will have a voice of the labor force on it, and that the voice will be from the IBEW.
