IBEW Women's Committee Power & Light Society attended the International Women's Conference in Saint Paul Minnesota last week. Sue Sweeney along with Sam Mancuso from Western Division and from the Central Division, Gina Clifford attended this event. Sue Sweeney was able to be part of a panel discussion outlining the forming of our Local Women's Committee. We have brought back many new fresh ideas to try and implement here in our Local.
IBEW Women's Committee Power & Light Society participated in the "Cook for Kids" at the Ronald McDonald House on June 20th serving up Tacos, brownie and ice cream. The following Union Sisters participated: Paulette Dust- Allen, Kathy Fronczak, Cathy Gervase, Morgan Kiefhaber, Pam Schrimmel and Sue Sweeney. Thank you all who participated. We have scheduled another "Cook for Kids" event on Wednesday, October 24th, so keep the date open.
We will also be participating in the Ronald McDonald House 5k Walk at the house on Wednesday, July 25th. It is not too late to register. Call Sue Sweeney at the Union Hall with any questions.
Tickets are now available for the Buffalo Union picnic which will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, at Joseph's Country Manor & Grove, 275 Columbia Avenue, Depew. Tickets will be $10.00 for member, retiree and a guest. The Women's Committee will be collecting Children and Adult coloring books, crayons and colored pencils and activity books to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Call the Union Hall for tickets. We will be selling Erie County Fair Tickets again this year. The Fair is August 8th - 19th. Adults - $6.50, Seniors (60+) $4.50, Children 12 and under free, Strates ride cards with 70 ride credits - $23.00. We will accept cash or checks made out to Erie County Fair.
