The Annual United Way fund drive will be kicked off this month on October 26th at the Dewey Avenue auditorium.
First off I would like to thank all of our members that made this fund drive a success last year. Please continue to give. To the new members or members who will be donating for the first time I want to thank you in advance. The United Way can't do the good work they do with out your support.
The United Way of WNY invest in over 107 local programs and donates more than 4 million dollars in our community. The amazing thing is so many lives in WNY have been touched and their quality of life has only been made better. You may not realize that someone you are related to or someone you know has been involved with and helped by one of these programs.
As members of IBEW Local 97 we are so fortunate to have great jobs with our employers. I know you hold your head high when talking about your job to your friends and family. Donating to the United Way is just one way to give back to the community you live in.
