Business Managers Report

Transmission Issue – We are opposing this Canadian line that is going toNew York City. The developer of the Canadian line requested a meeting with us. They wanted to know why we opposed it. We are in the process of getting questions together to send to them. We have support from the IO to continue our opposition.

BROOKFIELD

We got a discharged employee returned to work and still working out back pay.

Meeting with company on February 21st on upcoming negotiations.

CONSTELLATION

Company trying to implement retiree benefit change on co-pays.

There will be a 45 day outage starting April 19th. They are bringing back union retirees to work and also using guards.

Third step date set for grievance for day of vacation taken away from members due to work stoppage during strike.

Incentive pay for bonus which did not include overtime for last two years has been resolved and members will be receiving back pay.

ENTERGY

Met with site Vice President and company attorney for upcoming negotiations starting in March for Security Guards that were separated out from rest of bargaining unit.

NATIONAL GRID

Met with Keith McAfee and Labor on the storm pecking order for call outs. Looking for three buckets for restoration, wire sitting and surveying. We will be having an additional meeting on February 23rd for further discussions.

Company abolished four Platform Attendant positions out of Central Division. Three moved back to their old position in clerical and one was out of 97c with no path back to their previous job but we were able to get a one time deal allowing her the choice of being laid off or going back to her old position.

We had two discharged employees come back to work on Monday.

A new procedure has been rolled out for Arc Flash.

Customer Order Fulfillment went to New England duringEDO. Company wants to bring work back to our franchise territory. Unsure how many jobs there will be.

Gas Project Review held on Monday. Work will be 65% in-house and 35% contractors. We are also trying to pursue opportunities to take work away from Decatherm. We will be having jobs in Camillus and will work side-by-side with contractors to compare costs.

We are in the process of working on four MOU’s for Station/Relay, Design, In-House Construction and M&T.

NRG

Transmission biggest thing at this time for those properties. We have to do something or we will have two coal burning plants in jeopardy. NRG is losing money right now.

PSE&G

Going to JerseyFebruary 29th to meet with Labor on issues with turnover and not paying overtime.

ST. LAWRENCE GAS

Company is trying to implement a Code of Conduct which was not negotiated.

TOWN OF WORCESTER

This is a six member unit. Their contract ended December 31, 2011. Members are looking for ½% more in the wage increase and we will be going back to the table.
